What Coaching is NOT
Coaching is not mentoring or therapy. A mentor provides subject matter expertise, wisdom and guidance based on their own experiences. Therapy deals with healing pain, trauma, dysfunction, or conflict of some kind, typically with the goal of resolving difficulties that impair an individual’s emotional health and psychological functioning.
What happens next?
If you wish to book a consulation appointment and you sign up for a minimum of five session you will be sent a coaching agreement which you must complete and sign before you start your first session
The Coaching Agreement
The coaching agreement is established during the first coaching session. It outlines the relationship between coach and coachee and sets the ground rules where both parties work together and know their obligations. It will cover elements such as confidentiality within boundaries, duration and frequency, payment cost, flow of sessions, note taking, cancellations and how the sessions will be held i.e. by phone or on-line. It can also outline on what grounds the sessions will be paused or terminated. The agreement will be reviewed regularly during the process.
